Born in Massachusetts (1995) and the daughter of first-generation Khmer immigrants, Melanie Tan is a storyboard artist, animator and illustrator that is really invested in the world of children's storytelling. For 3 years, her artwork with Harvard University has been published in academic journals and papers, illustrating how children and teenagers use internet and technology through animation and illustrations.


As an Animation graduate from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, she lead the animation club "Loop Group" that helped connect animators all over Boston, for which she won the 2017 Massart Emerging Leadership Award for her efforts.


She currently lives in Glendale, CA and is seeking both full-time work and freelance within Los Angeles while continuing to work for Harvard remotely.
