Growing up in Massachusetts, Melanie Tan is a Khmer-American storyboard artist, comic artist and illustrator who has a deep passion for the art of storytelling.
Since 2018, her work with the Youth and Media Project at Harvard University has been featured in presentations and academic papers, working closely with researchers and a team of specialized artists to illustrate how teens use technology today.
Melanie graduated with a BFA in Animation from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, with departmental honors. During her time there she led Loop Groop, a club that connected students with upperclassmen mentors. For her efforts she won the 2017 Emerging Leadership Award.
She currently lives in Glendale, CA and is currently seeking both full-time and freelance while continuing to work for Harvard remotely.
